The 10th International Summer School is hosted by the DICEAA, Roio, L’Aquila and takes place in the City of L‘Aquila which was partly destroyed by an earthquake in 2009.
There will be the opportunity to argue on design and environmental risk factors and their management through a design project. While working on a case study, students will be guided and supported by an international and multidisciplinary team of experts and tutors. The aim is to raise the awareness of design, management, and planning issues regarding territories vulnerable to environmental risks, such as an earthquake.
As the summer school is connected to both the design studio „Vehikel der Neuzeit, Radikal Modern“ and last semesters design studio „L‘Aquila - Katastrophe leben“ students of those design studios will be prefered.
